Repatriation Service

If death occurs out of state or overseas you may wish to bring the body back to Australia for burial or cremation.

Transport and health restriction may apply.

Overseas death certificate must be obtained and importation papers issued, all of which the team at Chapel Funerals can complete on your behalf. In most circumstances the body will need to be embalmed and returned to Australia in an outer coffin or crate suitably prepared for transportation.

Chapel Funerals can coordinate arrangements for the return of the deceased person to Australia as well as the repatriation of the deceased to their country of birth.

With your consent, we can also engage the services of a funeral agency in the place of death.
